Is the extension free?
Yes, completely free. None of the extension features require payment. A free QrrQ account gives you full access.
Does it work without a QrrQ account?
No. The extension shows scan data from your own QR codes, so a qrrq.io account is required. Sign up takes 30 seconds, no credit card.
What permissions does it request?
Only four: notifications, storage (preferences), alarms (background polling), contextMenus (right-click item). Network access is limited to qrrq.io — it never reads other sites.
Does it work when the popup is closed?
Yes. All logic runs in a service worker — no popup needed. It polls qrrq.io every 30 seconds and fires notifications for new scans.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere external. No analytics, no telemetry, no third-party SDK. All preferences stored locally via chrome.storage.local. Only endpoint it contacts is qrrq.io.
Can I mute notifications temporarily?
Yes. Right-click the icon → Options → uncheck "Show notifications for new scans". Polling continues, notifications stay silent.
Which languages are supported?
English, Turkish, German, Spanish, Russian. The extension auto-detects your browser language; when you change language in qrrq.io, the popup follows.
How do I uninstall?
Go to chrome://extensions, click "Remove" on the QrrQ card. All local preferences are wiped. Your qrrq.io account is unaffected.
